An individual of Australian nationality who jumped across a fence and touched celebrity Ariana Grande has been expelled and barred from Singapore.

The man, 26, was handed a penalty to more than a week in jail for causing a public disturbance and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities stated to Singaporean press.

The man shoved past photographers and approached aggressively the celebrity, who was participating in the Asian premier for the film on November 13. Co-star Cynthia Erivo pulled him back from Grande.

He has a background of interrupting performances and celebrity events, including leaping onto the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year.

The occurrence sparked outrage in Singapore, with numerous people saying he of re-traumatising Grande.

The singer has discussed suffering from PTSD after a explosive incident at her performance in Manchester in several years ago resulted in the deaths of 22 individuals and affected hundreds.

During Wen's trial, the court heard he had tried to gain access on the red carpet event twice, according to regional reports.

He then made a second attempt to jump the barricades. Security staff stopped him and held him in place.

He then uploaded videos appreciating the celebrity for allowing his presence and said he was "free."

Authorities took him into custody the next day and brought charges against him with causing a disturbance, to which he confessed.

The Court Judge Christopher Goh was cited by Channel News Asia as remarking that Wen was "attention seeking", noting that he was incorrect to think he would not experience repercussions.

Grande has not commented on the situation.

The co-star spoke about the incident to a media outlet, stating that she "just wanted to make sure my friend was safe."

"I believe he didn't mean us danger, but you cannot be certain with those things, and I aimed to make sure that she was fine. That was my initial reaction," she commented.
